Join us for picture books, finger plays and playtime. 

Children must be two years of age by

Parenting Workshop with Carole Aksak
BullySocial and Cyber Bullying in School-aged Girls and Boys

  • Thursday, April 19, 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Ms. Aksak gives participants tools, tactics and language to address social bullying and cyber-bullying in an interactive presentation about this nation-wide epidemic.

She is the Critical Issues Coordinator for the Girl Scouts of Nassau County and has led workshops for more than 500 adults and students on relational aggression for all genders.

This program is sponsored by the HWPL Parent Advisory Committee

Origami specialist MaryAnn Scheblein-Dawson returns to our library with another fun workshop.  You will learn the history of origami while creating colorful objects folded from a single sheet of paper.

SUMMER READING CLUB KICKOFF

Ages 4 and older

Enjoy the fun with Will Shaw’s dazzling program of juggling, clowning, balance tricks, boomerangs and more.  He is affiliated with New York’s Big Apple Circus and has been an instructor for the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus Clown College.
 
District Residents and Friends of the Library may pick up tickets beginning Thursday, June 7 at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.
