Formerly located at
the corner of Cedar and Meadowview Avenues in Hewlett, Birch
Corners was built as the summer home of Carroll Macy, sister of
Carleton Macy, the president of the Hewlett Bay
Company. It was sold
to Ira A. Kip in 1920 and later to Laurence
Anthony Slesinger , a textile executive.
